About Me
Willie was Janet's baby. She got him from a litter that was born in Janet's parents' garage. Janet's mom had been feeding the mama cat and two male stray cats, unaware that the female was pregnant. The mama cat bore four kittens, three male orange tabbies and one female gray tabby like herself.
Janet ended up taking the largest male cat whom she named Willie after Willie Nelson. He was the one who climbed up her shoulder when he was a tiny kitten barely weeks old. Despite not thinking she'd ever want or love a male cat, Janet was surprised by how much Willie ingrained himself in her heart.
Willie was a purr-butt. He purred loudly and without prompting. He was so loving - loved to rub faces with Janet. He didn't mind having his belly rubbed either. Janet just loved him to bits. He was a big brother to Smokey and good buddies as well. They loved each other's company so much.
Chronicles of his health problems beginning Nov. 2003 and leading to his death are in the blog (begins with posting dated March 4, 2004).
I miss him so, so much...
